Host Parks:

Coaster Con XXXV will take place June 17 to June 22, 2012 in Tennessee and North and South Carolina.

Coaster Con includes: 20 hours of ERT! | 10 Meals | Dollywood Season Pass

Tucked away in the magnificent Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood is a 130 acre theme park that offers thrilling rides, award-winning entertainment and master craftsmen. Due to the park’s wide variety of attractions, Dollywood caters to a broad base of visitors ranging from coaster craving thrill-seekers to show lovers to fans of Dolly Parton herself. Enthusiasts will love the hugely popular Thunderhead, an acclaimed GCII woodie; Mystery Mine, a highly-themed vertical dive coaster; Tennessee Tornado, Arrow’s final looper; and many more unique attractions such as Slidewinder, Blazing Fury and the new for 2012 Wild Eagle B&M wing coaster.

Home to a long list of roller coasters, Carowinds boasts 13 machines, now headlined by the recent Intimidator from B&M. The park’s collection also contains three woodies, one of which straddles the state line between North Carolina and South Carolina. The variety of genres includes standing, flying, inverted, looping, and more. Discover all the southern hospitality and characteristics that makes this dual state park home to both Carolinas.


Convention Hotels:

  • Dollywood Area: The Park Vista located at 705 Cherokee Orchard Road in Gatlinburg, Tennessee 37738
    • The room block is available from June 15 to June 21 at a Rate of $109 per night plus tax.
      Convention activities in the Pigeon Forge area are Sunday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 20.
    • For reservations call 1-800-421-7275, reservation Code: ACE. Reservations can also be made online.
    • Complimentary wireless internet will be offered to all guests who register using the ACE reservation code.
    • NEW: Transportation service from The Park Vista to Dollywood and back (only for guests staying at the Park Vista).
  • Carowinds Area: The Comfort Inn at Carowinds is located at 3725 Avenue of the Carolinas, Fort Mill, South Carolina 29708
    • The hotel is within walking distance of the park.
    • The room block is available from June 20 to June 23 at a rate of $99.00 per night plus tax. Convention activities in the Charlotte area are Thursday and Friday June 21 and June 22.

    • NEW: Continental breakfast will be exclusive to ACE guests prior to each morning’s ERT.


  • McGhee Tyson Airport, Knoxville (TYS)
    • The airport is just under an hour from Dollywood and about 4 hours from Carowinds, It is serviced by AirTran, Allegiant, American, Continental/United, Delta, Frontier, U.S. Airways and Vision Airlines.
  • Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)
    • Primarily a hub for U.S. Airways, it is also serviced by most major airlines except Southwest. The airport is approximately 3 hours 45 minutes from Dollywood and 20 minutes from Carowinds.
  • Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP)
    • The closest airport for those flying Southwest, it is also serviced by Allegiant, American Eagle, Continental/United Express, Delta and U.S. Airways. The airport is 3 hours from Dollywood and 1 hour 45 minutes from Carowinds.
  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
    • One of the largest airports in the world, it serves as a hub for Delta and AirTran. It is also serviced by most major airlines. (Southwest will begin adding service to Atlanta in February 2012.) The airport is approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes from each park and might be an option for those who don’t mind long drives, or those who plan to attend the regional add-on events.
